Camden Body to Warn Tourists of Blaney ‘Trap’

CAMDEN, S. C., Nov. 19 – If plans adopted at an executive session of the AYoungs Men’s Business league are officially endorsed at the regular meeting of the body early next week, motorists traveling between Columbia and Camden will be duly warned regarding the speed trap now maintained at Blaney.

The resolution adopted by the organization heads here today provide for erection of large signs at the two highway entrances to Blaney, which will contain warnings and possibly prevent recurrence of such instances as were reported in The Record of Thursday, November 17, when attention was first directed to the speed trap.

The United State Highway No. 1 was recently relocated so as to avoid the principal area of congestion in Blaney.

Officials to the town of Blaney are: Mayor, A. P. Bailey; councilmen, A. K. Rose, A. C. Rise, P. H. Ross and A. T. Simpson.
