John S Branham, 71, of Blaney died at 12:30 Saturday afternoon, November 1, 1947 at the Providence hospital after an illness of a few hours.

He had lived in Blaney all of his life and was a member of Smyrna Methodist Church.

Mr. Branham is survived by his widow, Mrs. Katie Billings Branham of Blaney; five daughters, Mrs. H. S. Ray of Cayce, Mrs. Walter King of Columbia, Mrs. Charlie Bowens of Winnsboro, Mrs. E. P. Hamm of California, and Mrs. Everette Addy of West Columbia; four sons, Nick Branham of Columbia, G. E. Branham of Rock Hill, James Branham of Blaney, and Floyd Branham of Columbia; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Branham of Ridgeway, Mrs. Mamie Watts of Balney and Mrs. Maggie Rabon of Lugoff and one brother, Harmey Branham of Winnsboro.
