Six Soldiers Treated for Wreck Burns

Six soldiers were being treated yesterday at the Fort Jackson hospital for burns received early Tuesday morning in an automobile accident at Blaney.

Their automobile burst into flame when it overturned on a curve, the Fort Jackson information office said. They were returning from 24 hours’ leave.

Seriously burned were George P. Murphy, Jr., 22, of West Chester, Pa., burned hand; Myron Strober, 21, of Brooklyn, N. Y., identified as the driver of the car, hands and face burned, and Milton S. Spradley, 21, of New York City, burned hands.

Less seriously burned were Morris Silver, 21, of New York City; Eric Deane, 21, of New York City, owner of the car, and Roger N. Beatty, 21, of Jamaica, Long Island, N. Y.
