Nattlee “Mimi” Peake Crumpton was born June 22, 1939 in Rabon Town, (Kershaw County, South Carolina), the daughter of Collie Peak, Sr., and Katie Rabon Peake.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Nattlee “Mimi” Peake Crumpton, 66, of Elgin, will be held 4 o’clock Monday, September 5, 2005, at Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard A. Humphries officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at 3 o’clock Monday in the church sanctuary. Shives Funeral Home is in charge. Memorial may be made to Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church. Highway 34 East, Ridgeway, SC 29130.

Mrs. Crumpton died Friday, September 2, 2005. Born in Rabon Town, (Kershaw County, South Carolina), she was the daughter of Collie Peake, Sr. and Katie Rabon Peake. After retiring from Central Chevrolet, she and her husband owned S & N Tire & Automotive in Elgin. Mrs. Crumpton enjoyed all types of music, especially gospel and had an abiding love for playing the piano.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald D. Crumpton and Jayne M. Crumpton; granddaughter, Lisa Marie Crumpton and her fiance, Don Creel, all of Columbia.

Her husband Samuel Leroy Crumpton and siblings, Collie Peake, Jr., Luther Peake, Bobby Peake, and Mann Peake preceded her in death.
