Miss Karen Jewel Hooks and Ronald Eugene Armstead exchanged vows at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 1976, in North Trenholm Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Gabriel officiated and a reception followed in the Fellowship Hall of the church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Thomas Hooks (Willie Mae Hornsby Hooks) of Columbia. She was graduated from Keenan High School and the University of South Carolina with an associate degree in secretarial science. She is employed by J. B. White’s, Richland Mall.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Armstead of Columbia, He was graduated from Spring Valley High School and is employed by Clark’s Electrical Contractors.

After a wedding trip to Atlanta, GA., the couple will live in Taglewood Apts., Columbia
