1930 Census Information:
According to the United States Census recorded on April 28, 1930, Glenn Medlin (39) rented a home in Killian, Richland, South Carolina with his wife, Lila Medlin (32). It was reported that they were married when he was 22 and she was 15. Also in the home where their children; Hezzie Medlin (14), Ruth Medlin (12), Marion Medlin (11), Louise Medlin (7) and Malachia Medlin (1). All family members were reported have been born in South Carolina. Glenn was a carpenter of general work, Lila kept house, and Hezzie was a farm laborer.
1940 Census Information:
According to the United States Census recorded on April 10, 1940, Glenn Medlin (48) rented a home in Columbia, Richland, South Carolina, with his wife, Lola Medlin (42), and children; Manen Medlin (20), Louise Medlin (16), Key Medlin (13), Lola Mae Medlin (7) and Lloyd Medlin (7). All family members were reported have been born in South Carolina and lived in the same house on April 1, 1935. Glenn was a cabinet maker for a lumber company, Lola and Manen were workers in the textile mills.

COLUMBIA – Funeral service for Lois Louise Medlin Roberts, 91, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Spring Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial in the Churchyard. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Mrs. Roberts died Thursday, November 14, 2013. Born in Blaney, she was a daughter of the late Glenn Medlin and Lila Legrand Medlin. She was the most loving, sweetest and giving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Roberts attended St. Paul International Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of Spring Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church, formerly Holly Hill Pentecostal Holiness.
Her spirituality will live on through her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter, Janice Louise R. Dale (Robert Grant Dale) of Chandler, Ariz.; son, James Dalton Roberts of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren, April D. Dale Smith, Jonathan M. Dale, Brandi M. Dale Taylor (Gregory); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Boyd P. Roberts and granddaughter, Priscilla Roberts.
