According to the United States census reported on April 15, 1940, J R Goff (48), rented a home in Wateree, Kershaw County, South Carolina, with his wife, Maggie Goff (46), and their children; Ezell Goff (25), Rena Goff (25), Susie Goff (21), Eloise Goff (18), Thelma Goff (16), James Goff (14), Linwood Goff (12), Leroy Goff (10), Wylan Goff (3). All family members were born in South Carolina and lived in the same house on April 1, 1935. J R Goff was a farm operator on a farm, Ezell Goff and Rena Goff were laborers on the farm, and Susie Goff was a laborer with the N. Y. A. Project.

CAMDEN – Funeral service to celebrate the life of Mary Wylean Goff Jordan, 74, of Camden will be held Sunday, November 20, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Atkerson will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 19, 2011, from 7:00–8:30 p.m. at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Jordan’s memory to the American Heart Association of S.C., Memorials & Tributes, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
Mrs. Jordan, wife of Thomas M. Jordan, died Friday, November 18, 2011. Born in Blaney, she was a daughter of the late John Goff and Magdalene Hinson Goff. She had retired from Skyline and was a member of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by her children, Cindy J. Cunningham, Wendy Jordan and Ricky Jordan all of Camden; four grandchildren; sister, Thelma Wilson of Camden; numerous nieces and nephews, and a special nephew, Bobby Goff.
She was predeceased by four sisters and four brothers.
