VISITORS SEASONED
Coach Hugh Stoddard Sends Four Veteran Regulars Into Cage Battle.
Olympia’s Red Devils will try to avenge two defeats of their las campaign when they meet Coach Hugh Stoddard’s Sumter high school basketeers at 8:15 tonight at the Pacific gymnasium.
The main attraction of the bill will be the nightcap of a doubleheader. Shandon Baptist Sunday school team will opposed the Olympia B. quintet coached by Dick Weaver in the opening contest at 7:15.
Admission prices for the whole show will be 15 cents and 25 cents.
The largest gallery ever to witness a high school basketball exhibition at Pacific saw the Olympia Red Devils open their campaign last week with a victory over Winnsboro. The B team lost its opener to Blaney the same evening.
Tonight’s game will be the first this season for the visiting Gamecocks, but they will not be lacking in experience. Four veteran regulars from the 1934-35 team will take the floor at the opening whistle. They are: Osteen and Bryan, forward, and Blanding and Player, guards, Ed Cuttino, a promising center, will be the fifth man on the floor.
Olympia, too, will have four veteran regulars. They are: W. S. Gordon and Buddy Gordon, forwards; Jolly Worrell, center, and Bill Knox, guards, Eldon Grant, guard, is the newcomer. He was an outstanding player against Winnsboro.
The probable starting lineup:
| POS | Olympia | Sumter |
| F | B. Gordon | Osteen |
| F | S. Gordon | Bryan |
| C | Worrell | Cuttino |
| G | Knox | Blanding |
| G | Grant | Player |
