ELGIN – Bethune chopped down Blaney twice here Thursday night, the boys winning, 53-44, and the girls, 42-28.

Skipper Mays scored 15 for the Bethune boys and Beth Brinson threw in 19 for the girls. Blaney’s top scorers were Ray Coleman with 11 and Joan Brazell with 13.
