ELGIN – Miss Deborah Lynn Wooten and John Ray Black, both of Atlanta, Ga., were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Saturday in Blaney Baptist Church. Chaplain Major William H. Mattox officiated and a reception followed in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
A graduate of Blaney High School, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel W. Wooten of Elgin. She attended Midlands TEC and was graduated from Bauder Fashion College, Atlanta, and is employed by the Engineering Experiment Station, Industrial Development Division, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta.
The bridegroom is the son of Col. and Mrs. John R. Black of Fort Polk, La. He received a B. S. degree in mathematics from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is working toward a M. S. in applied statistic at Georgia TEC and is employed as a research assistant at George TEC.
After a wedding trip to Charleston the couple will live at 897 Highland Ave, NE, Apt. B-14, Atlanta.
