RIDGEWAY – Graveside service for Janice Peake Javins, 68, will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at The Old Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Javins, wife of the late Larry Javins, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Prisma Health Richland.  Born in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late John Lewis Peake and Rosa Lee Perry Peake.  She worked for Standard in Winnsboro for over 20 years, Trinity Child Care Center in Blythewood, and most recently for Laura’s Tea Room in Ridgeway.  She served the Lord faithfully and was a dedicated member of Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of the Golden Hearts.  Mrs. Javins enjoyed gardening, baking and most of spending time with her family.

Surviving are her daughter, Amy Miller of Columbia; son, Scott Rutland (Donna) of Robbinsville, N.C.; brothers, Tommy Peake, Johnny Peake and Jamie Peake (Paula); sister, Patsy Hall; and grandchildren, Michael Belton, Blayton Miller and Miranda Rutland.
