It was reported the household members were all born in South Carolina and lived in the same house on April 1, 1935, except for Geneva Jones and Simon Johnson, who reported living in rural, Kershaw County, South Carolina. Warren Dalton Sanders was a merchant at a retail store, Willard Monroe and Coley Motley were farm laborers. Geneva Jones and Simon Johnson were domestic servants.

Mr. Monroe died Tuesday, November 12, 1996. Born in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late John Gillard Monroe and Minnie Motley Monroe. He was retired from Safety Equipment Co., and was a member of Rosewood Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Ross Monroe; daughters, Deloria Burriss of Clinton, Barbara McCaskill of Durham, N. C., and Kaye Simpson of Los Angeles; sisters, Dezma Birchmore and Fannie Livingston, both of Columbia; grandsons, Trevin Burriss and Michael Burriss and Curt McCaskill and Brad McCaskill; and great-granddaughter, Payton Burriss.
