Obituary of Johnny Patton, Jr.

LEXINGTON – A funeral service for Johnny Patton, Jr., 84, will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel in Elmwood Memorial Gardens, with burial to follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.

Mr. Patton, husband of the late Joyce Mae Patton. Born in Columbia, S.C., he was the son of the late Johnny Patton Sr. and Mary Hooper Patton. He enjoyed drag racing and having fun living a good life, going to turkey shoots and he loved NASCAR racing.

Surviving are his children, Larry Patton, Sr. (Vickie) of Elgin, Brenda Brewer (Johnny) of Gaston, Claudia Humphries (Mike) of Columbia, Johnny Patton III (Cathy) of West Columbia, and Terry Taylor (David) of Lexington; brother, David Patton (Thelma) of Columbia; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Patton.
