SUMMERVILLE – Sarah Jane Polson Kolb, 77 years old, of Summerville, SC, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 29, 2016.

Jane was born in Newberry, SC, and grew up in Columbia, SC. She was predeceased by her parents, Evelyn Hipp Polson and James Cleveland Polson.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles Edward Kolb Jr. She had three children, Charles E. Kolb III (Geneva) of New Bern, NC, Susan Pasquarelli (Jesse) of Anderson, TX, and Gerald McKnight Kolb (Sarah) of Lexington, SC; and nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Cameron, Jacob, Hayden, Spencer, Nicholas, Amber, Grace and Elizabeth. Jane is also survived by sisters, Loretta Brooks, Linda Turner, Brenda Moore, Mary Self, and brother, James Polson.

Jane graduated from Columbia High School, 1957; and the School of Nursing at Greenville General Hospital in 1960. She was a nurse for 39 years, providing care to patients at several hospitals, nursing homes and correctional facilities. She and her family moved to Summerville, SC, in 1976, where they became members of Summerville Baptist Church.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. followed by a 1:30 p.m. memorial service at Summerville Baptist Church on Thursday, November 3, 2016. Flowers or memorial donations may be sent to Summerville Baptist Church.
