Township Assessors, Registration Boards and Dispensers are Named. Dr. Settlemeyer Appointed Again.
Governor Blease has announced a mass of appointments since the the general assembly. In addition to the appointment of a new state bank examiner he named the various boards of registration for these several counties of the state, the township assessor have been appointed and a number of magistrates and other officials in counties of South Carolina. Two appointments the senate refuse to confirm have been made again. These are Dr. W. L. Settlemeyer as regent at the State Hospital for the Insane and J. B. Adger Mullally as magistrate at Clemson College.
Registration Boards.

Governor Blease has appointed S. G. McDonald, magistrate for Williamsburg county.
Township Assessors.
A large list of township assessors also have been appointed by t he go vernor.
A. R. Speaks, M. Murdaugh and M. V. Bowen were named as township assessors for Hampton County in Varnville township. In Aiken, Sleepy Hollow township, R. B. Weeks, was named vice Maxie Tolle, who moved away.
Other township assessors appointed are as follows:

G. E. Bambert has been named township commissioner for Bamberg, vice J. B. Hunter.
Rural policemen for Lancaster have been named as follows: W. V. Hegler, R. R. Kennington, W. J. Williams and J. N. Addison.
Governor Blease has appointed G. P. Scarborough of Darlington as member of the Confederate infirmary board to succeed I. McD. Hood, who was named as a member of the board of supervisors for Chester county.

R. L. Hogg, of Williamston, has been named by the governor as member of the township board for that town in Anderson county.
In Spartanburg county at Cowpens W. R. Tanner was appointed to succeed J. W. Brown as township commissioner; in Lancaster for the town of Lancaster, J. Wylie Porter was appointed to succeed G. M. Pelzer. In Dorchester, in Collins township, Lelar Cook of Summerville, was named vice J. M. Bivens; in Kager township, B. V. Reeves vice B. S. Reeves.
In Hampton county, Walter Theur, M. I. Lafitte and C. A. Harper of Estill are the board; in York John L. Currence was named to succeed J. M Craig, and Dr. J. E. W. Haile, of Rock Hill, will be town assessor, vice T. J. Johnson, resigned.
