Mrs. Lucy Branham Dies in County
Mrs. Lucy Branham, within a month of being 58 years of age, died early Friday morning, April 5, 1918, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. F. Freeman, 10 miles from Columbia, on the Koon road. She was the widow of Allen Branham and the family originally were from Kershaw county. The funeral will be held at Smyrna Methodist church Friday afternoon, April 5, 1918, services by the Rev. A. E. Corbett, the pastor. Of the immediate family the following survive; Daughters; Mrs. Freeman, Mrs. D. T. Moore of Columbia, Mrs. H. T. Jeffords of Blaney, Mrs. A. N. Anderson of Ridgeway; two sons, B. F. Branham, and Walter Branham of Blaney, and four brothers; S. C. Moore, T. S. Moore, J. W. Moore and O. W. Moore. With the exception of T. S. Moore, who lives in Kershaw, the other brothers are residents of the county. Mrs. Branham’s father was Levi Moore.
