CAMDEN- A funeral service for Melissa Allison Moore, 55, will be held Friday, August 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Marion Bennett will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Moore, wife of the late Herman Moore, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of Pearllee Hill Robertson and the late Bennett Baxter. Mrs. Moore was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and was very active in the church. She enjoyed spending time with grandkids and family.
Surviving are her children, Jamelle Robertson (Felicia) of Lugoff, Tanisha Robertson (Dimitrick Marsh) of Lugoff; siblings, Phillip Robertson, Jr. (Benetta), Robert Robertson (Rosalee), Barbara Johnson (Andrew English), Theodore Robertson, Sr. (Jeanette), Benjamin Robertson (Angie), Jeffrey Robertson, Gregory Robertson, Cedrick Robertson (Leah); sister-in-law, Francis Robertson; and 7 grandchildren and 1 on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Terry J. Robertson; siblings, Joe Robertson, James Robertson, Sr., Nathaniel Robertson, Charles Robertson, and Shirley Robertson.
KERSHAW COUNTY, SC. — Melissa Allison Moore, of Camden, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Monday morning fatal vehicle crash in Kershaw County.
Moore, 55, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Ridgeway Monday morning.
According to reports, Moore was operating a vehicle in the 1900 block of Ridgeway Road near Lugoff, when another vehicle crossed centerlines and came into head-on contact with Moore’s vehicle.
Moore was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the crash.
