Donnie J Horton was born on 25 Oct 1886 a child of A M Horton.

Camden, August 7, 1916 – Donnie J. Horton, aged 29 years, a popular and well known young man of the county, died here early Saturday morning, August 5, 1916, after a short illness of typhoid fever, Mr. Horton was the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Horton of the Buffalo section of the county. For several years he has made his home in Camden, being engaged in the automobile business. He is survived by his parents and three brothers and two sisters, Ira Horton, Charlie Horton and Clyde Horton and Misses Ella Horton and Alta Horton.

The funeral was held Sunday, August 6, 1916, at Hickory Head church near Westville with Masonic honors, being attended by one of the largest gatherings ever assembled at a country church in this county.
