Latta, August 2, – Mr and Mrs. Copples, and small son of near Monroe, N. C. , visited Mr. Copples’ sister, Mrs. Samuel Long, during the past week.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Beathea and children of Florida are visiting Mr. Beathea’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Ellis Bethea, on Main street.
Misses Mildred Bowen of Blaney and Christine Chamness of Blenheim have been visiting Miss Myra Powell at her home near Latta.
Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Callahan and daughter, Sara Frances, have returned to their home at McColl after visiting Mrs. Callahan’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Ellis Bethea.
The Rev. Samuel Long and Mrs. Long and children are visiting relatives in and around Monroe, N. C.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Mannin have returned from a trip to Washington, D. C., and to Point Pleasant, W. Va., where they visited their daughter, Mrs. A. C. Aston.
Judson Allen of Allendale spent last week-emd in town with relatives.
Mrs. Ed Newton and two daughters of Tatum visited relatives in town during the past week.
Miss Mildred Reynolds of Dothan, Ala., has been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walker E. Allen.
J. William Boozer has returned to his home in Columbia after spending two weeks with his sister, Mrs. Deans Crumpler.
The Rev. Morris Bethea and sons, Edwin and Theodore, of Raleigh, N. C., spent several days in town with relatives during the past week.
