Blaney Building Destroyed by Fire

BLANEY – A two-story structure was destroyed last night by fire which threatened the central area of this community.

The three occupants of the building, formerly the Blaney Grill were not at home when the blaze broke out about 10:15.

The fire set everal trees ablaze and power was knocked out. Traffic was slowed for a while on Highway 1, which passes a few feet from the building.

The house was occupied by Dan Kelley, and employe at the DuPont Company May Plant, his wife and child.
