A graveside funeral service to celebrate the life of Johnnie Carol Spears Shull, 78, of Camden, will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 11:00 AM. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, 647 Lachicotte Road, Lugoff, SC 29078.
Johnnie Carol died Thursday, August 19, 2021. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late James Henry “Jack” and Louise Ray Spears, and widow of the late Perry K. “Pete” Shull, Jr. She was a graduate of Palmer College, a member of First Baptist Church, and retired from the Kershaw County Family Court. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, working in her yard, and watching college football.
She is survived by her sons, Perry K. Shull, III and Brian A. Shull (Rayanne), both of Camden; grandchildren, Savannah and Brent; sister, Harriet Spears Pierce, of Camden; brother, Jackie Spears, of Lugoff; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Johnnie Carol was predeceased by her son, James Brent Shull, and daughter-in-law, Laura Thiel Shull.
Kornegay Funeral home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
