ELGIN – Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Ross Knapp were held today.

Mrs. Knapp, 71, a retired merchant, died Wednesday.

She was born in Kershaw County, a daughter of the late Sam Henry Ross and Carrie Goff Ross.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Inez Dixon of Lugoff and Mrs. Liggie Mae Mottey of Pontiac, four brothers, M. W. Ross, Paul Ross, Sr., and Jack Ross of Elgin, and Dr. Harry Ross of Anderson and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Thelma Ross Knapp, Elgin, Dies

ELGIN – Mrs. Thelma Ross Knapp, 71, a retired merchant, died Wednesday after a long illness.

She was born in Kershaw County, a daughter of the late Sam Henry Ross and Carrie Goff Ross.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Inez Dixon of Lugoff and Mrs. Liggie Mae Mottey of Pontiac, four brothers, M. W. Ross, Paul Ross, Sr., and Jack Ross of Elgin, and Dr. Harry Ross of Anderson and three grandchildren; Mrs. Earl T. Nichols and Gregory Boykin and Phillip Boykin of Columbia.

Services will be 10:30 a.m., today at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden. Burial will be in Sand Hill Heights Baptist Church.
