Former Blaney Resident Dies in Virginia

George G. Knapp, 38, formerly of Blaney, died Tuesday at a hospital in Buena Vista, Va., where he had lived for the last eight years. He was connected with the C & O Railway company as a telegraph operator. When at Blaney he was connected with the SAL Railway company.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Thelma Ross Knapp; and one daughter, Ted Knapp, both of Buena Vista, Va. Mrs. Knapp was the daughter of the late S. H. Ross of Blaney.

The body will arrive in Columbia this morning, and will remain at the Thompson Funeral home until the time of services.

Funeral services will conducted at 11 o’clock this morning from Union Baptist Church, near Blaney, by the Rev. A. L. Willis of Columbia.

Interment will follow in the churchyard.

Paul Ross (Lillian Carrie Hair Ross) and families are invited to attend the funeral services of former, Mr. GEORGE G. KNAPP, at 11 o’clock THIS (Thursday) MORNING from Union Baptist Church, near Blaney. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
