Hallie T. Jeffers, 82, of 1642 Curry street, died yesterday in Providence Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late Joel Jeffers and Lucy Hayes Jeffers. Mr. Jeffers was an insurance salesman before retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Kate Branham Jeffers; a daughter, Miss Lucy Mae Jeffers; a son, Henry T. Jeffers of Blythewood; two grandsons of Columbia; and six great children.

He was born in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late Joel Jeffers and Lucy Hayes Jeffers. He lived in Columbia for the past 30 years and was a retired insurance salesman.
Mr. Jeffers was a member of Union Baptist Church in Elgin.
