A graveside funeral service to celebrate the life of Myrtle Parker Cox, 92, will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, from 6:00 – 7:00 PM. Memorials may be made to Thiel Meyer Pet Adoption Center, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020.
Myrtle passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Springdale Healthcare in Camden, South Carolina. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Donnie Wallace and Carroll Lucas Parker.
She was married to the late Robert A. Cox. She is survived by her son, Danny C. Parker (Jennifer), 4 grandchildren, Patty Boone, Lorrie Parker, Ashley Price (Dustyn), and Daniel Parker (Jenny); 9 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Myrtle was predeceased by her son, King Cox; 7 brothers and sisters; and a great-grandson.
Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
