LUGOFF – Graveside service for Carrie Belle Hampton, 82, will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Matthew Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday 4-6 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Hampton, wife of the late Willie Hampton, Jr., passed away at home on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.  Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Bunyon Tucker and Daisy Bell Scott Tucker.  She was a faithful member of St. Matthew Baptist Church where she was the oldest living member.  She was a member of the Jackson High School Alumni and enjoyed crocheting and flowers.

    Surviving are her son, Willie Julius Hampton; sister, Bettye Tucker Murphy; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
