A graveside funeral service to celebrate the life of Charles Wynnton Bass, 85, of Elgin, will be held at Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery, 633 Red Oak Road, Warwick, GA 31796, on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM.

Charles died Monday, October 18, 2021. He was born in Warwick, GA, the son of the late Ina Jeter and Donald Crawford Bass, Sr., and was a graduate of Albany High School. Charles retired as a real estate developer, and was a National Guardsman in both Georgia and Alabama, where he was a 30 caliber carbine expert marksman. He was a wood craftsman, and loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his children, George Donald Bass (Kathy) of Covington, LA, Tonja B. Zecha (Don) of Augusta, GA, Mitzi B. Rawlins (Chris) of Dublin, GA, Charlene B. Davis (Mark) of Elgin, SC, and Chad W. Bass of Brunswick, GA; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. He was married to Janeth F. Bush, Ginger G. Dominy, and Arlene S. Bass, the mothers of his children.

In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by his son, Charles Joseph Bass; grandson, Eric Bass; sister, Betty Durham; and brother, Donald Crawford Bass, Jr.
