Obituary of Shirley H. Mayrant

SUMTER- A funeral service for Evangelist Shirley H. Mayrant, 76, will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cedar Cemetery. A public viewing will be held Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Mayrant passed away Friday November 26, 2021. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Delfield Hunter and Idell Green Lawson. Mrs. Mayrant enjoyed talking on the phone and reading.

    Surviving are her sons, Abner Burroughs (Desiree) of VA, Anthony Burroughs (Yvetta) of Bishopville; daughter, Christine Jones of NV; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters as well as other relatives and friends.
