Ridgewood Camp, December 31. – One of the happiest events of the holiday season was a visit from Santa Claus, accompanied by member of the Elks’ lodge of Columbia and “The Aristocratic Pigs.” They visited each cottage bestowing gifts and playing Christmas music.
According to custom at Christmas, the Daughters of the Holy Cross from Trinity Church delivered to each patient Wednesday a beautiful tree with gifts which added to the Christmas decorations and delighted the patients.
Miss Matthews of Columbia visited the camp and brought a basket of fruit and gifts for one of the patients.
Mrs. Florida Motte of Columbia sent some flowers to the camp for the patients Wednesday.
During the week E. H. Rutland had as guests, Mrs. E. H. Rutland, Henry Melton, Mrs. Irene Melton, Miss Dorothy Melton and Lonnie Lee Melton of Blythewood and E. H. Rutland, Jr., of the CCC Camp at Winnsboro.
