Mr. Kelly, 55, a retired plumber of 6536 Buckfield Drive, died Monday.

John William Kelly, 55, a retired plumber, of 6536 Buckfield Drive, died Monday.

Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Benjamin Lucas Kelly and Evelyn Youngblood Kelly. He was a World War II Air Force and Army veteran and a member of St. James United Methodist Church.

Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Thelma K. Clark of Columbia, Mrs. Dorothy K. McMullen of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Juanita K. Price of Columbia and Mrs. Marguerite K. Cannon of Columbia.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Howard Price. Burial will be in Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Elgin.
