Robert D. Dennis, 76, a life long resident of Columbia and West Columbia, died at 4 o’clock this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Annie Coleman, near Blaney. Mr. Dennis had been ill for several weeks.

He was a member of the Jackson Creek Baptist church.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Catherine Hutchinson Dennis, of Columbia; also two daughters, Mrs. Maud Dew, Columbia, and Mrs. Coleman; two sons, S. M. Dennis, West Columbia and Henry C. Dennis, Columbia. Survivors also include two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Strickland of College Place and Mrs. Mary Kelly of Lugoff, and one brother John Dennis of Columbia.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o’clock Sunday morning from the Jackson Creek Baptist church. Interment will follow in the churchyard.

R D. Dennis, 76, Dies Near Blaney

Robert D. Dennis, 76, a lifelong resident of Columbia and West Columbia, died at 4 o’clock yesterday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Annie Coleman, near Blaney after an illness of several weeks.

He was a member of the Jackson Creek Baptist church.

Service Today For R. D. Dennis

Funeral services for Robert D. Dennis, 76, a lifelong Columbia and West Columbia resident, will be conducted at 11 o’clock this morning from the Jackson Creek Baptist church. Burial will be in the churchyard.

Mr. Dennis died Friday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Annie Coleman, near Blaney. he had been ill several weeks.

The body will remain at the home of his son, S. M. Dennis, 227 Augusta street, in West Columbia until time for the service.

Pallbearers will be: C. A. Hutto, G. W. Watts, H. B. Brannon, A. P. Tidwell, T. L. Clippard and E. W. Lowery.

Dennis Funeral Held Sunday

The funeral for R. D. Dennis, a lifelong resident of Columbia and West Columbia, was conducted at 11 o’clock yesterday morning from the Jackson Creek Baptist church.

Mr. Dennis died Friday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Annie Coleman, near Blaney, following an illness of several weeks.

Pallbearers yesterday included C. A. Hutto, G. W. Watts, H. B. Brannon, A. P. Tidwell, T. L. Clippard and E. W. Lowery.

Interment was in the churchyard.
