Miss Eliza King has returned to Agnes Scott College, Atlanta, Ga., after spending the Christmas holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. King, on Liberty street.

Guests, during the holidays, of Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Berfoot, were Mr. and Mrs. Joel Pinson and son Willian Pinson, and Miss Virginia Pison of Greenwood.

Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Merchant spent Christmas with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merchant, in Saluda.

After a visit to friends in Eau Claire during the holidays, The Rev. and Mrs. J. L. Willis have returned to Roanoke Rapids, N. C., where Mr. Willis is pastor of the Baptist church.

Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Byrd have as their guest the latter’s mother, Mrs. Munn, from Kershaw.

Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Maret and son, George, of Rock Hill, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Davis.

Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Fralick and daughter, Mildred Fralick of Branchville visited Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Paul last week. Mr. and Mrs. Paul had as guests Sunday Mrs. O. L. Ballace and E. D. Fralick from Hopkins.

After spending the Christmas holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Jones, Miss Lillian Jones has returned to Washington, D. C., where she holds a position in the treasury department. Cloud and Robert Murry accompanied Miss Jones, their aunt, to Columbia where they will stay with their grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jones, while their mother, Mrs. Lila Murray, is in Alaska working in the Aeronautics department of the government.

Mrs. H. C. Smith and daughter Emily Smith, of Florence, visited Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Garner on College street last week.

Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Sharpe and children, Mary Sue, Raymon, Sammie and Junior and Mr. and MRs. Earl Bauers and daughter, Ramona Bauers, attended a family reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Bauers, in Andrews on Christmas day.

Mr. and Mrs. Paris Monts of Lumberton, N. C., spent the holidays with the latter’s mother, Mrs. J. D. Griffith on Liberty street.

Jack Cope, who is working in Greenwood, spent Christmas with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Cope.

After a ten days visit to Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Hyatt, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Lawson and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Moore, have returned to their homes in Spartanburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Hornsby and children spent Sunday with the latter’s mother, Mrs. Stoudemeyer, in Saluda.

Mr. and Mrs. James Mitchell and children, Phyllis Mitchell and Jimmie Mitchell, spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Watts in Camden.

Miss Alma Cole of Anderson spent several days, during the holidays, with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Rawley Woods.

Mrs. Ada Jamison has returned to her home in Portsmouth, Va., after a two weeks’ visit to her sister, Mrs. E. C. Butler.

Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Spence and children, Virginia Spence and Clarence Spence, visited relatives in Batesburg last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sloan and children, Edna Sloan, Thomas Sloan, Jr., and Frances Sloan, of near Lykesland, spent a few days with the former’s mother, Mrs. G. W. Sloan, last week.

Mr. and Mrs.H. V. Kull had as guests during the holidays, the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Fitts from Brunson, Mr. and Mrs. W. McManis and children, June McManis and William McManis, Jr., and Mrs. Rosaland Hodges from Sumter.

Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Harrison and children, Lany Harrison and Judson Harrison, Jr., of WIlmington, N. C., visited Mrs. Harrison’s mother, Mrs. I. G. Fellers, during the holidays.

Mr. and Mrs. P. B. Holt and daughters, Misses Vera Holt and Margaret Hold and son, D. W. Holt, visited relatives in Greenwood and in Burlington, N. C., during the holidays.

Miss Francis Tobiola of Limestone College, Gaffney, was the Guest of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Coleman last week.

Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Causey of Myrtle Beach and Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Bonnett of Branchville spent several days with Mrs. Annie L. Mitchell during the holidays.

Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Brown had their children, Mr. and Mrs. V. C. Elliott and their children from Sumter, Mr. and Mrs. N. D. Fowler and daughter, Shirley Fowler, from West Virginia and Leonard Brown from Spartanburg, with them during the holidays, Miss Helen Joumey of Statesville, N. C., is spending some time with her grandparents., Mr. and Mrs. Brown.

Russell Price of Barnwell spent the holidays with his mother, Mrs. Annie B. Price.

Miss Helen Addison, after spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Addison, has returned to Lancaster to resume her duties as teacher in the Lancaster High school.

Miss Eugenia Cox of Laurens, who teaches there, and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Cox of Lone Star, visited their parents, the Rev. and Mrs. F. T. Cox last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clarke and children have returned from a visit to relatives in Jacksonville, Fla.

Mr. and Mrs. Baughman and children of Blaney visited the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Clements on Colonial Drive, during the holiday.

J. M. McCabe visited his son-in-law and daughter (Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Sanders, near Wateree, last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Audry Davis of Charleston and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Beard and son “Doug Jr.” of Rockingham, N. C., visited their parents Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bear, during the Christmas holidays.

Miss Ann Carroll, a member of the faculty of Florence High school, spent the holidays with her mother, Mrs. Carroll, in College Place.

Miss Marie Johnson of Spartanburg and Mrs. Evie Johnson and son, Victor, of Aiken, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Eubanks in Ridgewood during the holidays.

Mr. and Mrs. Eubanks spent a few days with relatives in Aiken last week.

Guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Reynolds on Colonial Drive, during the holidays, were their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Walker from Manning and their daughter Mrs. Henry Hipp of New Milford, Conn.

Mr. and Mrs. Wade Reynolds, Jr., spent Sunday with relatives in Lamar.

Mrs. Daisy B. Powell visited children Eleanor, Robert and Leroy at the Presbyterian orphanage, Clinton, Christmas.

Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Broome and children, Ann Louise and William, visited relatives in Blythewood recently.

Mr. and Mrs. Dewy Stevens and daughter, Barbara Ann of Dillon, spent several days with Mrs. Stevens parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Black, during the holidays.

Miss Nell Gelston, after spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Gelston on Colonial Drive, has returned to Winthrop college, Rock Hill.
