The Scatter Cheer class of Mount Tabor Lutheran Sunday school will hold its monthly meeting Thursday evening at 8 o’clock in the classroom. Group No. 3 will entertain.
The Ever-Ready class will meet Thursday evening at 8 o’clock with Misses Gladys and Elvira Earhart.
Friends of Miss Glidney Steel will be glad to know that she is recovering from a four-week illness at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Addy.
Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Ross and family and Miss Mildred Evans spent Christmas with relatives in Blaney.
Ferris Kirby and son, Sewell, have returned to Danville, Va., after spending several days here with relatives and friends. Mrs. Kirby remained for a longer visit.
Bill Awtrey and DeWitt Ross have returned to Clemson college to resume their studies after spending the holidays at their respective homes.
Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Zeigler spent the past weekend with relatives in Ehrhardt.
Miss Rosalie Shull delightfully entertained her Sunday school class at a Christmas part at her home last week. The living room was gay with decorations of holly and cedar. A large Christmas tree, decorated and lighted with vari-colored lights occupied one corner of the room. Each guest received a present from the teacher. Games and contests were enjoyed Thomas Swygert, Harold Jeffcoat and Homer Kamminer, Jr., were prize winners. The hostess, assisted by Dan Shull, Jr., served a sweet course in colors of green and red.
Mrs. Sara Mae Baker entertained at a bingo part last Thursday evening in honor of Miss Lorraine Bachman. After the game refreshments were served. Miss Bachman left Sunday for Winthrop college, where she will resume her studies.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lucas have returned to their home in Anderson after spending the holidays with their respective parents. Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Lucas, Sr., and Mrs. R. V. Porter.
Bill Strickland had returned after a visit to relatives and friends in Florence.
Barney Smith of Anderson, former Brookland-Cayce coach, visited friends here Saturday.

Mrs. J. S. Wessinger and children of Chapin and Mrs. C. T. George and children of Lexington were guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Swygert Monday and Tuesday of last week.
Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Hall had as their guests last week, Mrs. Hall’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Taylor and sister, Miss Virginia Taylor, of Red Bank.
Mrs. Delton Moore of Charlotte, N. C. was called home last Friday because of the death of her father, S. Caleb Shealy.
