Rev. Louise S. Goodwin

HOPKINS — Funeral service for Reverend Louise S. Goodwin , 88, of 212 Masonry Circle will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ladson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Zion Damascus #2 Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 4-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Reverend Goodwin died Friday, December 29, 2006, in Providence Hospital. Born in Blaney (Elgin), she was the daughter of the late Dave Sims and Dessie Sims Mines. Reverend Goodwin was pastor of Zion Damascus #2 Baptist Church and St. Paul Baptist Church for more than 40 years.

She is survived by her sons, James (Deloris) Goodwin, Hoover, AL, Vincent Herbert, Gadsden; daughters, Diane (Matthew) Howell, Hopkins, Tiffany, Samantha, April and Lasandra Abney, Columbia, Christie Williams, Beaufort; daughter- in-law, Virginia Goodwin, Philadelphia, PA; a host of foster children; grandchildren, greatgrands, loving relatives and friends.

The family at this time also express their sincere appreciation to caregivers, Lula McKnight, Monica Howell Tucker, Lottie Moore, Johnny Burden and Deacon Charles McKenzie for their loyal service. A very special thank you to the Capital City Ambulance staff and the Davita Dialysis Staff for their dedicated service.
