Saluda, Jan. 23 – Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Edwards entertained with three tables of bridge Thursday night. High score prizes were won by Mrs. S. C. Blease and J. H. Jennings.
Mrs. J. H. Jennings was hostess to her bridge club Friday afternoon. High score prize went to Mrs. E. O. Unger while Mrs. S. C. Blease cut consolation.
Little Jean, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Padget, was hostess Monday afternoon in celebration of her sixth birthday when she entertained about thirty of her friends. Prize winner in the races and games were Willette Padget, Lewis Givens, Jr., and James Vernon Blease. Jello, whipped cream and wafers were served.
Mrs. J. C. Thrailkill and sons have returned from a visit to relatives in Galivants Ferry.
Misses Frances Zeigler and Aileen Crouch of Columbia were in Saluda for the weekend.
Miss Louise Waters, who teaches school near Camden, was here for the weekend.
Mrs. C. J. Ramage and Mrs. S. R. E. Addy recently visited relatives in Georgetown.
Mrs. Jeff Griffith and Mrs. George W. Coleman have returned from a visit to relatives in Blaney.
Misses Genevieve Grigsby and Kathleen Rutland, students at Lander college and Sumter Wright of Greenwood, were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Grigsby.
Mrs. Fannie Gunter has returned from a visit to relatives in Florence.
