RECRUITER ENLISTS FOUR APPLICANTS

Sergeant Tibe Accepts Quartet of Men for Various Branches of Regular Army.

Four men enlisted at the United States army recruiting station here during the week ending February 9. They were examined by Sergt. Joseph Tibe and sent to Fort Moultrie, where they will be given a second examination and, if accepted, will be forwarded to their respective stationing.

The following men were accepted by Sergt. Tibe: Robert E. Harper, Newport News, Va., enlisted for service in Panama; Goff Irby, Blaney enlisted fro Hawaiian island; Elva F. Busbee, Columbia, enlisted for service in California, and Willie Wilson, Easley, enlisted for service in Florence.

The army recruiting station is on the 1200 block of Main street, Sergeant Tibe said yesterday that the vacancies still exist for able bodied men for any point in the United States and also for Panama and Hawaiian Islands. The recruiting officer says he will be glad to give any information required to persons interested.
