Obituary for Mrs. Cheryl Lucille Higgins Tucker

Cheryl Lucille Higgins Tucker, 73, of Lugoff, died Friday, February 4, 2022. Born January 11, 1949, in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Amos James Higgins and Emma Louise Martin Higgins. She was a devoted member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Elgin. Family was Mrs. Tucker’s top priority and she enjoyed hosting family gatherings, as well as spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Charles Edward Tucker; sons, Johnny Tucker (Tiffy), James Tucker, and Joe Tucker (Heather); grandchildren, Tonya Gollach (Matthew), Tiffany Tucker (Shane), Dalton Tucker (Kristen), Christopher Tucker (Amanda), Hannah Tucker, Emily Tucker, Kasey Moore, and J.T. Moore (Brandi); as well as 16 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters and brother.

The memorial service for Mrs. Tucker will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday, February 13th at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 2666, US Hwy 1, Elgin, SC 29045 with Pastor Ken Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the church fellowship hall.
