LUGOFF – Funeral service for Claude Banks Boykin were held today at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden, with burial in Smyrna Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Boykin, 57, died Sunday.

Born in Lugoff, he was a son of Mrs. Sadie Smith Boykin and the late Herbert R. Boykin.

An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Boykin was a retired automobile mechanic and a member of Smyrna Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Blanche Hinson Boykin; a son, Gary Boykin; his mother, three brothers, Herbert F. Boykin of Lugoff, Raymond Boykin of Columbia and Ralph Boykin of Camden; and four sisters, Mrs. Viola Pebley of Chapin and Mrs. Marjorie Steadman, Mrs. Sara Johnson and Mrs. Priscilla McCullough of Columbia.
