ELGIN – Funeral services for Graham Robert Combie, 93, will be held Thursday, March 16, 2006, at 4 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, Box 66, Elgin, SC 29045. Kornegay Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mr. Combie died Monday, March 13, 2006. Born in Saugus, Mass., he was the son of the late William Robert Combie and Ethel Reba Graham Combie. He was married for 58 years to the late Helen Louise Rhodes Combie. In 1936 Mr. Combie graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering. From 1950 – 1978, Mr. Combie was owner of G.R. Combie Machine Company in New London, N.H., designing and building special purpose machines. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

Surviving are daughters, Joan Combie of Rock Hill, SC and Carol Combie Adams and her husband, Tommy, of Elgin, son, Robert Combie of Seattle, Washington.
