R. A. Concard, superintendent of CCC Camp Hobson Hilton, Blaney, addressed the Columbia Rotary club at its regular weekly luncheon in the Jefferson hotel this afternoon, outlining the work of the civilian conservation corps.
Mr. Conard stated that the corps had been of tremendous value to the nation, not only from the stand point of the actual reforestation work accomplished, although that has been inestimable, but because it took hundreds of thousands of young men from the streets, gave them clean, profitable employment, and kept them out of the mischief.
Father N. A. Murphy, pastor of St. Peter’s Catholic chruch, was in charge of the program.
