BEAUTIFUL LIFE ENDS IN MRS. WATTS’ DEATH

A long, beautiful and useful life was ended in the death of Mrs. L. W. Watts of Lugoff on last Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Watts filled most admirably the capacities of wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her christian influence fell as benediction on all her associates. She was a faithful member of the Pine Grove Baptist church.

Mrs. Watts was 81 years of age and is survived by her husband L. W. Watts, who is 83 years of age. This happy, well matched couple had the rare and precious experience of celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary last Christmas.

Mrs. Watts’ grandchildren number 42. She is also survived by three daughters and two sons; Mrs. J. Dinkins, G. F. Watts and E. H. Watts, all of Lugoff, Mrs. J. M. McCabe of Columbia and Mrs. H. N. Castles of Winnsboro.

Funeral services were held last Friday at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the Reverand Granham of Camden. Interment followed at Smyrna church cemetery, near Lugoff.
