ELGIN – Services for Kenneth Adam Whitaker, 8, of 639 Sessions Rd, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Palmer Memorial Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Adam died Monday. Born in Richland County, he was the son of Johnie M. Whitaker, Jr. and Pamela Huggins Whitaker. He was a student at Blaney Elementary School.

Surviving are his parents of Elgin; sister, Stacy Coleman and Brittany Ana-Lisa Whitaker; brother, Brent Cowart; grandparents, Marvin Whitaker and Willie Whitaker; and nephew, Ronald “Trea” Coleman III.
