ELGIN – Funeral services for Isabel Phillips Peake, 82, will be held Friday, June 3, 2005, at 4 p.m. at Sawneys Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in Smyrna United Methodist Church cemetery. Rev. Richard A. Humphries, Rev. John Williams and Rev. Tim Bowen will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 2, 2005, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Mrs. Peake, widow of Willie H. Peake, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005. Born in Fairfield County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late William Freeman Phillips and Alma Kelly Phillips. Mrs. Peake was a member of Sawneys Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are daughters, Ann Threadgill and her husband, Ray, of Columbia, Becky Peake of Elgin, Darlene Blume and her husband, John, of Elgin; son, Furman Peake and his wife, JoAnn, of Elgin; grandchildren, Mike Haltiwanger, Jeff Haltiwanger, Mark Haltiwanger, Mia Harrelson, Wanda Thompson, Lynn Peake, Dennis Heath, Kim Stokes, Misty Garcia, Chris Peake and L.J. Blume; great-grandchildren, Michael Haltiwanger, Jeffrey Haltiwanger, Sarah Haltiwanger, Dawson Harrelson, Keaton Harrelson, Heath Stokes, Harrison Garcia, Jessie Peake, Mandie Peake and Kaytie Peake. She was predeceased by son, Horace Peake, sister, Sarah Branham, brothers, Jim Phillips and Joe Phillips. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Thomas Hindle, Roger Branham, Jack Fortner, Fletcher Ross and active Deacons of Sawneys Creek Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
