A funeral service to celebrate the life of Pauline Dorn Blevins, 81, of Elgin, SC, will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Blaney Baptist Church. Rev. Jacob Helsley will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 PM, Friday, September 8, 2017 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, PO Box 810, Memphis, TN 38101.
Pauline died Tuesday, September 5, 2017. She was born in McCormick, SC, the daughter of the late Paul Columbus Dorn and Lillie Bosdell Dorn. Pauline was a member of Blaney Baptist Church. She was a former lunchroom employee for Blaney Elementary and was an avid reader and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pauline is survived by her sons, Ronney Blevins (Deborah) of Lugoff, Marvin Blevins (Tina) of Elgin, Ardie Blevins (Marlene) of Elgin and Paul Blevins of Elgin; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pauline was predeceased by her parents; husband, Herbert Fields Blevins; daughter, Carolyn Blevins; son, Herbert Blevins, Jr.; and 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
