George Alexander Smith, 22, of 1612 Castle Pinckney Drive, died Tuesday night at his residence.

He was born in Hartsville, a son of Mrs. Hazel Moyer Smith and the late Edward Louise Smith. He was a graduate of Dentsville High School and a member of the Blaney Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Venera Cobb Smith; a daughter, Jenny Melissa Smith; a son, Mark Edward Smith; his mother, Mrs. E. L. Smith; two brothers, Edward Louise Smith and Billy Nathan Smith.

Funeral Services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Dunbar Funeral Home, Devin Street Chapel, conducted by the Rev. George Turbeville. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Henry Easterby, Melvin Campbell, Richard Hatcher, George Dixon, Billy Joe Roberts and Wilbur Wyndham.
