Loy Graham of Camden, South Carolina | 1959 – 2022 | Obituary

Loy Edward Graham, age 63, died on Sunday, December 4, 2022. He was the son of Loy Albert Graham and the late Imogene Hutchinson.

Loy (Butch) Graham was many things to a lot of people, but a beacon of hope, love, and support to us all. He adored his family more than anything else and is also loved by us all. Father, Son, Husband, Brother, Grandfather, Friend, Marine, these are the only titles Butch held close to his heart yet achieved much more. He was always passionate about everything he did, no matter how small something may seem. A lot of times he could be found with a fishing pole in hand smiling ear to ear. Open waters or even better the beach was something he loved very much. Sports was another great passion he possessed. You would find him cheering on the Gamecocks every possible chance but what he enjoyed the most was his grandson’s hockey games. Butch served both in the Marine Corps (Cpl) and Army (Specialist 4). His experience in the military played a very important role in his life. He frequently pointed out that the military taught him the value of discipline, teamwork, and investing in a cause larger than himself.  

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Stanley Graham; son, Aaron Loy Graham (Jennah), of Chillicothe, IL; grandson, Dominic Loy Graham; granddaughters, Faith and Fiona Graham; stepson, Richard Bartschat, of Camden and stepdaughter, Dianna Dotterer (Matt), of Gray Court, SC and step-grandchildren Lauren, Kaylee and Tabitha Dotterer; Father & Stepmother, Loy Graham ( Matilda), Siblings; Connie Schiele of Peoria, IL; Brad Graham, of Creve Coeur, IL Dina Graham( Mark Hertz), of Norwood, IL; Shari Graham( Deborah-Skleryk-Graham), of Columbia, SC and several Nieces and Nephews and great Nieces and Nephews.

A funeral service will be planned for a later date. Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God, 1518 Jefferson Davis Highway, Camden, SC.
