A look at The State’s all-area girls volleyball team from Midlands-area high schools for the 2022 season.

FIRST TEAM
Erin Allert, Cardinal Newman: Senior had 465 kills, 57 aces, 86 blocks, 97 digs and 25 assists. Signed to play at Army.
Addie Bittner, North Central: Sophomore was all-state selection, region Player of Year and had 345 kills, 15 blocks, 54 aces, 167 digs.
Za’Niya Boyles, Gray Collegiate: Senior was all-state, Class 2A Player of Year and North-South selection. Had 178 kills, 46 aces and 74 digs.
Laila Brown, Dreher: Junior was all-state selection. Had 24 kills, 56 aces, 348 digs and 24 assists.
Andrea Crawford, Lexington: Senior was North-South selection, had 51 aces, 85 assists, and 387 digs
Joyce Edwards, Camden: Junior was all-state selection, had 176 kills, 44 blocks, 34 digs.
Christiana Greene, Cardinal Newman: Led Cardinals with 453 kills to go along with 54 aces, 41 blocks, 295 digs and 20 aces.
Victoria Harris, Cardinal Newman: Junior and South Carolina commit had 46 aces, 432 digs and 94 assists this season.
Avery Irick, Camden: Senior was region player of year, all-state and North-South selection. Had 29 aces, 121 digs and 307 assists.
Camryn Jeffrey, Westwood: Sophomore was region Player of Year and all-state selection. Finished the season with 252 kills, 203 digs, 116 blocks and 42 aces.
▪ Jayden Johnson, Cardinal Newman: Junior led team with 1,075 assists to go along with 88 aces and 64 kills.
Ashley Kelley, Lexington: All-state and North-South selection had 76 aces, 140 kills, 31 blocks, 723 assists and 254 digs.
Sarah Lawrence, River Bluff: Senior was all-state selection and had 315 kills, 39 aces, 47 blocks, 285 digs.
Anna Logan Gillens, Cardinal Newman: Senior and Delaware signee led area with 577 kills, was region Player of Year and helped Cardinals to SCISA 3A championship.
Julia Maybach, Gray Collegiate: Senior was all-state selection and had 87 kills, 45 blocks, 15 digs.
Meredith McEnulty, Gilbert: Junior was region Player of Year and all-state selection. Had 127 kills, 51 aces, 40 blocks and 306 assists.
Dani Mejia, Chapin: Junior had 259 kills, 208 digs, 29 aces this season.
Charlotte Morris, Lugoff-Elgin: Senior was all-state, North-South all-star selection. Had 220 assists, 196 kills, 196 digs and 50 aces. Committed to play at Liberty.
Maggie Northcutt, Pelion: Junior was all-state selection and had 96 kills, 10 aces, 26 digs this season.
Mary Norwood, North Central: Sophomore was all-state selection and had 257 kills, 64 blocks, 31 aces, 21 digs.
Ava Reeves, River Bluff: Senior was region player of year, all-state, North-South All-Star selection. Had 369 kills, 60 aces, 38 blocks, 242 digs. Signed with Anderson.
Paige Spanbauer, River Bluff: Senior was North-South selection and had 432 digs, 92 assists and signed with Georgia Southern.
