Obituary of Kathy Juanita Heber

LUGOFF- A celebration of life service for Kathy Juanita Heber, 59, will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. William Hairston will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.

    Mrs. Heber passed away on August 24, 2023. Born in Norfolk, VA, she was a daughter of Rufus Spruill, Sr. and the late Mary Alexander Spruill. Kathy was a cosmetologist and loved what she did. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

   Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Jonathon Heber of the home; children, Jonathon Spencer of Lugoff, Shayna Kennedy (Shawn) of Sumter, Dayna Johnson (Jarrell) of Columbia, Marie Kennedy (Montez) of Ridgeway, Ty’onna Spruill-Heber of Sumter; siblings, Maurice Spruill, Rufus Spruill (Theresa), Lisa Spruill Motley (Mack), Tyrone Spruill; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Alexander.
