MRS. BESSIE CLYBURN
JEFFERSON – Mrs. Bessie Gardner Clyburn, 80, of Jefferson, died Tuesday in a Cheraw nursing home.
Born in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Julius J Gardner and Mattie Catoe Gardner. She was the widow of Henry G. Clyburn.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 5 p.m. in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Lucie Jowers of Jefferson, Mrs. Tobe Eubanks of Jefferson, Mrs. L. L. Scott of Kershaw, Mrs. Ellen Horton of Lancaster, and Mrs. E. C. Sowell of Lancaster, and one brother, Bennie Gardener of Lancaster.
