Chapin used a 23-point fourth quarter to defeat Newberry, 37-22, on Friday in high school football action.
The Eagles move to 3-0 and are at Spring Valley next week.
With the score tied at 14, Chapin scored 17 points in a seven-minute span in the final quarter. Quarterback Roger Pedroni gave the Eagles a 21-14 on a 1-yard run on the first play of the fourth.
Alex Nelson made it 24-14 on a31-yard field goal. Then, Pedroni hit Taison Thomas on a 37-yard screen pass to make it 30-14. Newberry got within 30-22 on a Zay Chalmers pass to Aha-more Wilmore.
But Cooper Evans scored on the ensuing possession for the game’s final score.
Pedroni was 9-of-14 for 108 yards and two TD passes. Trey Lyles had 81 yards rushing to lead Chapin.
Newberry opened the scoring on Chalmers 1- yard TD with 1:31 left in first quarter. The Wolves held the ball more than 10 minutes on the drive.
Chapin answered right back after an 87-yard kickoff return by Gio Macaluso. Evans took it in from 5 yards.
DUTCH FORK 63, BOILING SPRINGS 7
Dutch Fork gave up its first points of the season but cruised to its third straight win to start the season.
Quarterback Ty Olenchuk was 12-of-12 passing for 261 yards and four TDs. Gage Zirke had three of those scores and caught six passes for 173 yards.
Ron Hoff rushed for 120 yards and two TDs.
BLYTHEWOOD 15, NORTH AUGUSTA 12
Blythewood rallied from a 12-0 fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the Yellow Jackets.
Jaylon Boyd’s 3-yard run with 7:20 left gave the Bengals the 15-12 lead. North Augusta missed a game-tying field goal with 52 seconds left.
Quarterback King Ford had Blythewood’s other score.
WHITE KNOLL 48, AIKEN 38
Jamais Holloway scored two touchdowns in a little over a minute span in the fourth quarter to give WK a come-from-behind win.
White Knoll trailed 38-35 but Holloway’s 13-yard TD catch from Aveon Smith made it 41-38 with 4:38. Holloway sealed it with an 8-yard run with 3:13 left.
Holloway finished with 103 yards and three TD runs and caught four passes for 49 yards.
SPRING VALLEY 43, RICHLAND NORTHEAST 0
Marquel Brown rushed for 84 yards and three TDs in the Vikings’ win over their Richland 2rivals.
Spring Valley also had two defensive touchdowns.
RIVER BLUFF 28, LUGOFF-ELGIN 18
Braden Walker had a TD run and Cleburne Gray caught a pass from Michael Rikard as Gators improved to 4-0.
River Bluff trailed 18-14 before the two second-half TDs.
SOUTH AIKEN 16, LEXINGTON 7
Jesse Sanders ran for two touchdowns to hand the Wildcats their first loss of the year.
HAMMOND 41, PINEWOOD PREP 9
Jackson Muschamp threw for 227 yards and four TDs, all in the first half in the Skyhawks’ fourth win of year.
CARDINAL NEWMAN 40, AUGUSTA CHRISTIAN 18
Shanye Monsanto and Jalen Montgomery each went over 100 yards in the Cardinals win.
DORCHESTER ACADEMY 34, NORTHSIDE CHRISTIAN 24
Northside Christian played at its new home stadium for the first time Friday night, dropping the game to Dorchester Academy.

The Blue Devils scored 27 points in the first quarter on their way to their second straight win.
RIDGE VIEW 20, NORTHWESTERN 10
Quarterback Javon Anderson had 216 yards of offense and had hit Walyn Napper with the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter in Ridge View’s victory.
